A Map & Menu Weekend: 03.01-03.03

Leave it to Portland to turn a seemingly regular, low-key weekend into a fantastic food-filled three days! Michael & I had been planning on eating at Bar Lola this past Friday, the first night of Maine Restaurant Week, for quite some time now, but we had no idea that our Portland food weekend would continue with lunch at Bonobo and brunch at Vignola Cinque Terre with friends. The ability to make impromptu dining plans at some of the tastiest restaurants in town is just one of the many reasons we love living here.

When we weren’t eating (or taking pictures of the food we were about to eat), Michael and I took advantage of the mild weather and spent plenty of time outside, walking with Orvis and strolling through the streets of the Old Port. After Sunday’s brunch with two of our favorite friends, we came home and began working on a gallery wall for the second floor in our home. Once we completed a few more projects around the house, we rewarded ourselves with a few bites of Mast Brothers chocolate bars while watching the documentary, Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel. All in all, a perfect first weekend of March, if you ask me. I hope you all had an equally enjoyable few days!
