For four years now, we’ve been building our love for what have become our Portland staples, and Blue Spoon, a neighborhood favorite in Portland’s East End, easily qualifies as one of our favorites. Each time we’re there, I find myself daydreaming about the next time we’ll be back, long before we’ve even finished eating.
The cozy restaurant can fill up quickly, but is worth whatever wait you might encounter. For lunch or on early summer evenings, the room is filled with warm, natural light, but once the sun goes down, the restaurant far from loses any of its charm.
I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with an item from their menu- everything we’ve had has been fantastic! On this most recent visit, we shared the charcuterie plate, (which kickstarted our current pistachio obsession) and I had the prosciutto baguette, with goat cheese, fig, and almonds. Coupled with the side salad, it was the perfect meal to help me combat my typical case of the Mondays! Michael had heard great things about Blue Spoon’s burgers, and his certainly lived up to the hype!
And as always, I found myself anxiously awaiting our next trip here, long before the bill was paid – maybe for their afternoon Wine Time?
This builds my interest in visiting Portland.Yum!
I adore this restaurant and what a great idea, Mer & Michael! This is so cool!!!
