I discovered Jennifer Chong’s blog after attending a Wayfare Magazine online travel bloggers meetup the other night, and it has quickly become a favorite. Planning a trip to LA/Long Beach now seems essential, so I can go to at least a few of the places she blogs about – like Pie Hole in LA!

I’ve had way too much fun going through this year’s list of the James Beard Foundation Awards semifinalists, reminiscing about past experiences at nominated restaurants and planning future trips to others. We’re excited to see some favorites – Clyde Common, Fore Street, Coppa, Bresca, Primo, and Black Trumpet – on the list, as well as places we’re hoping to visit for the first time this year – Lantern, Mateo Tapas, Francine, and more!
