Giveaway: Oh My Deer Hemingway Print

Oh-My-Deer-Handmades

We ate well and cheaply and drank well and cheaply and slept well and warm together and loved each other.
-Ernest Hemingway, “A Moveable Feast”

We’ve been fans of the hand-lettered work of Oh My Deer for quite some time. The playful script and thoughtful quotes around our house are a constant reminder that the most basic parts of life can be the most beautiful. This particular print has always resonated with Michael and I because of the joy we share collaborating on Map & Menu, and for that reason, we thought it would make the perfect giveaway!

To enter to win a copy of this Oh My Deer – Ernest Hemingway Print, simply like Map & Menu on Facebook (if you haven’t already), and then leave a comment below telling us where you would hang this in your home! You have until midnight on Thursday, March 7th!

  1. Love Oh My Deer! I would probably hang it in our master bedroom… Even though it’s about food and drinking; we have no art on our bedroom walls and it’s sad!

But alas, now that I am the first person commenting here, I won’t win. Isn’t that how it goes? :)

    Hugs to you guys!

  2. What a perfectly lovely print! And, of course I’m already a Facebook fan :)

I would hang this sweet print on the brick wall in my kitchen as a constant reminder of a few of the things in life that I most cherish: great friends, great food and great drink!

  3. Gorgeous print, I would definitely hang it in my living room where I have been, for quite some time, planning on hanging a whole mess of artwork and photographs. The wall that extends the two stories of my loft apartment, so there’s plenty of space to fill up. So far I’ve got 6 pieces. So, it’s a start.

  4. This print would hang over our wet bar, as a reminder to all that, it is with whom the adventure is shared that matters.
I’m not on Facebook, so I’ll have to make sure Kat like’s your page for me (but pretty sure that she has already). Miller says hello, and rub Orvis behind the ears for us.

  5. I have loved this print for awhile now! Would be so excited to win! We would place this print at the entry of our new home!

  6. I would add this to our gallery wall in our hallway! There’s a pretty big typography theme going on in there so it would fit right in!

  7. M+M: this is one cool print! I have to admit, when I heard you were giving away and EH quote, I was a skeptic, but this is PERFECT for Map + Menu! Thanks so much for your generosity! I’d wait and hang this in a new house in a location to be determined. Or I’d gift this to my good friend Trish, who this fits perfectly.

  8. I love Moveable Feast. Have read it many times. I would hange this in our summer house in Maine :) because that is where the magic happens.

  9. I love following your adventures on Map & Menu! This summer I get to see a dear friend get married in Camden, Maine. I am planning on taking time off to venture around Maine and possibly visit some of the restaurants you have featured.

As for the EH print, it would be a perfect gift for my brother in Baltimore to go in his newly remodeled kitchen. He’s kind of an EH wannabe.. ;)

  10. I would hang this is my kitchen- right next to my precious and framed canning lists from my mom from 1972, 1973, and 1974. All are good reminders of the important things in life.

  11. i love this! i would give it to my boyfriend and he would hang it on his newly installed wall of… awesomeness or greatness or whatever he calls it – lots of framed photos of friends & family. :) thanks!

  12. This is my favorite quote of all time and I love EVERYTHING about how it is presented! My roommate and I are avid readers and huge fans of Hemingway. This would look perfect hanging in our book-cluttered living room!

  14. My wife read this quote to me a few days ago and I hadn’t heard it before. I wrote in on a post-it note and put it on our old-fashioned message board in the front entry. This print would look great in our bedroom since our walls are bare. I am glad I stumbled onto your site.
