This was the kind of weekend that you’d want to happen week after week! Saturday’s weather was literally perfect – the sun was out all day long and there was just enough of a breeze to keep us cool as we spent the entire day outdoors. We ended up doing a good bit of yard work, but we balanced that out with spending plenty of time lounging about on the blanket in the backyard. We also had a chance to stop by the farmer’s market and try a couple of Portland’s tastiest food trucks. (More on those to come next week!) Our friend, Cory, came over for Mint Julep Floats in the backyard – a concoction we whipped up using homemade mint ice cream, bourbon, club soda, and a sprig of mint.

I’m looking forward to enjoying many more weekends like this throughout the summer and hope you have a chance to do the same!
