Our friends at Hunt & Alpine had me come down to the bar to shoot some of their new tasty menu items. They recently launched their weekend menu, served from 1pm-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Everything – both food and drink – sounds incredible, and is no doubt, the perfect excuse we all need to indulge in a few more afternoon cocktails and snacks.
A few things caught my eye while shooting the food – the Salmon Soup smelled unbelievable, while the hearty bowl of Manila clams looked very comforting. Always one to satiate my sweet tooth, I have my eye on the Butterscotch Budino, and since I’m already a huge fan of their pretzel, I’ll no doubt be ordering the Smoked Salmon, served on the pretzel with capers, cream cheese, and my favorite – their pickled red onions. On the drink side, I’ve got my sights set on the Up & At ‘Em (aquavit, orange juice, bitters) or the Bitter French (bubbles, gin, campari), and although I’m not usually a Bloody Mary fan, the bar’s new Bloody Death just might be the drink to convert me.
It’s always a treat to shoot at this well-designed bar with its immensely fun staff and its amazing drinks + food. If you haven’t given Hunt & Alpine a chance, now’s the time to get in there.
