There are few better ways to get over that post-Thanksgiving caloric coma, then to get out of the house, do some shopping, eat some good food, and start preparing for the next holiday!

This past weekend, the two of us escaped the crowds on the big shopping days by hitting the small businesses in the Old Port on Friday, working around the house on Saturday, and then by doing some early shopping after a tasty Sunday brunch. Capping it all off with a trip to the Christmas tree farm in Cape Elizabeth, I’d say the weekend was all-in-all a very productive one, and we’re looking forward to sharing so much of it on Map & Menu in the upcoming days!
