I visited Ox & Rabbit a few years ago with my family one afternoon while we were browsing the shops on Ninth Street. We stopped in for some milkshakes, and ever since then, I’d been wanting to return! The milkshakes are an obvious draw for someone like me who lives for ice cream and desserts, but the shop is full of some of the most delightful gifts, home decor, and lifestyle accessories. In just one loop through the store, I picked out least five things that would have been perfect in our house, but I simply didn’t have any room in my carry-on suitcase. Thanks to my mother, I walked out of the store with a classic chocolate milkshake that practically vanished before my eyes, and a new Moleskine luggage tag.

It can be difficult to convey how much I appreciate the thoughtful, quirky, charming selection of goods that stores like Ox & Rabbit carry – I consider these types of shops to be ‘my happy place.’ And on top of this, the fact that Ox & Rabbit serves the most delicious milkshakes makes the whole experience even sweeter. Literally.
