For as much as “minimal” and “subtle” were the main descriptors of our first hotel in Paris, I’d have to say that the Saint James Paris was equally “grande” and “ornate” – a hotel where every room felt slightly more whimsical than the last, and you found yourself pleasantly surprised at how many times you were left smiling from the quirkiness of different areas inside its gates.
I honestly don’t know where to begin with the Saint James, because every room seemed to captivate, every color seemed to pop, and every details seemed to just magically fit together to create an all-encompassing delightful stay. I mean, how many times have you found yourself closely studying the wallpaper and architectural sketches on the walls in your hotel room, or marveling at the way full-wall mirrors made an already large space seem simply cavernous? I think our only regret was that we only had the chance to spend a single evening here before we left the daydream of France to return to the real world.
I’m in love! The balloon wallpaper…
