Má Pêche

Ma Peche

After a busy morning in the Lower East Side and NoLita, Meredith and I were just looking to get out of the cold and off of our feet, and what better place to do that than the momofuku ‘mother peach’ restaurant in our own hotel – Má Pêche. We’d heard nothing but great things about the modern and minimal eatery, and almost everyone mentioned the pork buns, so we saddled up to a table and placed an order to start.

The pork buns were every bit as great as we’d heard. The pork belly was insanely tender and the yeast buns were just the right level of sweetness to compliment. With a little bit of hoisin sauce, I was in love, and considered just ordering another round for my meal. Instead, in an attempt to shrug off the cold, I settled on the duck ramen and Meredith ordered the fall squash special. Both of us were so happy about our meal, that we probably could’ve just stayed until dinner, but we’re only in New York every once in awhile, so we headed back out to make the most of our time.
