It’s hard to think about much other than yesterday’s tragedy at the end of the Boston Marathon. Senseless cowardice destroying so much happiness and joy. Boston is in many ways the heart of New England, and to see the aftermath on what is normally one of Boston’s happiest days leaves us feeling numb and empty. Our hearts go out to the families and friends that have lost loved ones, and to the many many people that will be left to carry the physical and emotional scars of this act of hatred with them for the rest of their lives.
It’s almost impossible to see anything but pain in a day like yesterday, and it seems like sadness is everywhere, but if you have the time this evening, visit or call someone you love and tell them just how important they are to you. Try to smile as you walk down the street, and do something kind for a loved one or a complete stranger. Hate leads to more hate, so give love a try.
