Guglhupf

MacKenzie & Philip were filming the wedding that I was in town shooting, so on the morning of the wedding we decided to fuel up at their go-to breakfast spot just down the street from their adorable bungalow – Guglhupf. They knew I’d love the food, but they also anticipated that I’d appreciate the design and decor of the restaurant as well. Of course, they were spot on! I fell instantly for the industrial & contemporary, yet warming feel of the entire place!

Our meals – pancakes, scrambled eggs, and a veggie gruyere omelet – were fantastic! After we finished up, we found ourselves in the bakery, adjacent to the cafe, which was heavenly. Naturally I began to ponder the feasibility of getting a croissant to-go for my mid-wedding snack, in lieu of my usual Luna Bar. In the end, I realized that stuffing a croissant as delicious looking as these into my bag, would just be sad and pathetic. It’s a good thing that MacKenzie & Philip live so close- I’ll have plenty of chances to visit Guglhupf and truly savor the deliciousness from their bakery!
